Homework Guidelines
Our school district generally follows the National PTA homework time guidelines. These guidelines establish a ratio of approximately 10 minutes of homework per night per grade level. Homework is not usually assigned during weekends and holidays. Additional time is expected for daily independent reading, which can include weekends. The following chart reflects our guidelines for grades 1 – 5:
