Second graders from W.L. Morse spent a spring day at the Peabody Preserve Outdoor Classroom alongside Sleepy Hollow High School seniors from the Science and Math Honor Society. Through guided hikes, hands-on activities, and shared play, students connected across grade levels in a meaningful day of learning, leadership, and exploration.

At W.L. Morse School, Ursula Stiloski helps keep the day moving while making sure every student, family, and staff member feels welcomed. In this Why Tarrytown feature, she reflects on growing up in the community, the connections that shape her work, and why Morse feels like a second family.

A smiling second-grade teacher, Sandra Tavares, is featured in a "Faculty Spotlight" with a quote about her commitment to her students, set against a classroom background.

Second grade teacher Sandra Tavares creates a classroom where confidence grows in small, meaningful ways. From encouraging students to take risks to building strong connections with families and colleagues, her work reflects what makes Tarrytown such a special place to learn and grow.
